WOODEN
TEXTILES
Wooden-Textiles is an ongoing collection of unique design objects using the innovative technique of merging wood and textile to a flexible hybrid material.
From the perspective of a textile designer, Elisa Strozyk is researching ways to provide wood with textile properties in testing methods to make wood flexible and soft, or interweave textile elements.
The outcome is a material that is half wood-half textile, between hard and soft, challenging what can be expected from a material or category. It looks and smells familiar but feels unusual, as it is able to move and form in unexpected ways.

NEW CERAMIC ARTWORKS
Two round surfaces overlap and the contrasting materials are set in dialogue. Each mirror-object is produced with a unique pattern. These artworks are about the beauty of detailed organic imperfection, provoking the spectator to engage in a material realtionship in the moment of their encounter in form of a simple touch. It is the visbile result of the creative process of its production, framed in a still moment.
ORI - WALLPANEL
Inspired by traditional paper-folding techniques the ORI - Wallpanels exemplify how flat surfaces transform into stable, three-dimensional voluminous structures. Instead of paper Elisa Strozyk is using her innovative hybrid-material „Wooden-Textile“ enabling wood to generate geometric sculptural landscapes.
The Wallpanels are currently available on request in various shapes and surface finishes, as here an asymmetrical shape with stained plane wood.
